English III: Getting Started
The game we played yesterday makes me feel like we are going to be using a lot of problem solving skills and memorization this year in English. I’m not really nervous about anything, but not really excited to read In Cold Blood. I love to write. I really only write a lot of poetry, but have gotten a bit into creative writing. I write pretty often, usually just jotting things down to later turn into a poem, song, or story. I write poems about my life and my emotions/feelings. I write about struggles and hardships. I don’t like to read my own poems, songs, or stories, but I’m not opposed to sharing them. One concern about sharing my writing is that I don’t want my ideas stolen. It is my own creative mind, my own ideas and my own writing. It belongs to me.

No one wants their ideas stolen and I don't think that will happen to you in this classroom. I will say that one of the best things that can happen is for our writing to inspire another person to write. Maybe that I will happen to you!
